Paint Correction
This is where the magic happens.
Once the vehicle has been prepared, we move into the paint correction process. Depending on the condition of the paint and the result you're looking to achieve, there are generally two routes we take — a one-stage correction or a two-stage correction.
One-Stage Correction
A one-stage correction uses a single combination of pad and compound/polish to refine the paintwork in one controlled process.
This is ideal if you're looking for a significant improvement in the overall appearance of the vehicle without chasing every individual defect. Paint can become dull and hazy over time from an accumulation of light swirls, wash marks and surface defects. A one-stage correction can remove or significantly reduce many of these lighter imperfections while restoring gloss, clarity and depth to the paint.
Deeper scratches and heavier defects may remain, as safely removing them can require more correction than a one-stage process allows. For vehicles requiring a higher level of correction, we offer our two-stage process.
Two-Stage Correction
A two-stage correction takes the process further by using separate compounding and polishing stages, each with its own pad and product combination.
The first stage uses a more aggressive cutting combination to level the paint and tackle heavier swirls, scratches and defects. Once the majority of the correction has been achieved, we move into the refinement stage.
The second stage uses a finer polishing combination to refine the finish left by the cutting process, further enhancing the gloss, clarity and depth of the paintwork.
The result is a significantly more refined finish, bringing the paint as close to its achievable potential as the condition and thickness of the paint allows.
